Full-time students / regular students

Thank you for your interest in studying medicine at Cologne University.

Applicants from within the European Union (EU) are treated in the same way as German students. This means they apply for places at the same time and under the same conditions as German applicants.

International applicants (non-EU) please inform yourselfs here.  As an international student of human medicine, dentistry, and neuroscience, you will begin your studies at the University of Cologne with a mandatory customized program that will enable you to study quickly and successfully. The Studienstart International program extends over one semester. It already includes events from the regular 1st semester as well as additional events that will give you an optimal start to your studies. You are enrolled as a regular student from the beginning.

Students from the EU who want to study Human Medicine and Dentistry need to apply via Hochschulstart.de the website of Germany's University Admissions Foundation. Please note that you will also need to take the TMS (test for medical studies in Germany) as part of your application.
EU applicants wishing to study Neuroscience and Health Economics should apply through Cologne University’s KLIPS 2.0 website.
