Publication bonification and EVALuna bibliometric database

At the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Cologne, publications are currently rewarded with a total of €2 million annually. The impact factor is used as a parameter, which is distributed to the authors according to their position in the list of authors. In order for the Faculty of Medicine's publications to be taken into account for the internal publication bonification as well as for reports/evaluations, all scientific papers from the clinics and institutes must be entered into the EVALuna publication database every year.

The following three criteria must be met for a publication to be included in the internal publication bonification:

• The work must be included in the "Web of Science Core Collection" database.
• The work must have an address/affiliation that is unambiguously associated with the Faculty of Medicine/University Hospital of Cologne. Please note the publication guidelines of the University of Cologne.

• The work must correspond to a specific publication type (article, editorial, review, letter, news item).
