New employees have access to an onboarding e-learning module that provides an initial overview of relevant information, departments, and services. Your new staff members will receive the corresponding link to this e-learning from us (Staff Development) by email in due course.

The University of Cologne offers a welcome event, 'Welcome & Connect', once per quarter. This in-person event focuses on exchange and networking. New employees have the opportunity to connect with other new staff members at the University of Cologne. At the same time, they get to meet contact persons from different areas who are happy to answer individual questions and provide insight into our organizational structure, values, and culture. In addition, participants are informed about the various services and offers available to employees of the University of Cologne.
