Sustainability at the Faculty of Medicine Cologne
The Faculty of Medicine at the University of Cologne is actively committed to sustainable development and organization. Our aim is to reduce our ecological footprint, assume social responsibility and create future-proof structures.
In May 2022, the sustainability working group was founded by committed members from all areas of the faculty. The working group is actively involved in the sustainable orientation of research and teaching. To this end, various sub-teams were set up to work specifically on different areas of sustainability and thus achieve concrete progress.
With the expansion of the Vice Dean's Office for Critical Infrastructures to include the important topic of sustainability, the faculty has also created a central interface. This connects the sustainability working group directly with the Sustainability Office of the University of of the University of Cologne and the Sustainability Office of the University Hospital. This allows us to pool our strengths effectively and ensure a coordinated approach in order to shape a sustainable future together.
