Topics of the Vice Dean's Office

The Vice Dean's Office for Finance and Budget Development is responsible for the administration of state and third-party funds, budget planning and the development of medium and long-term financing concepts.

The Vice Dean's Office is responsible for the transparent presentation of financial flows between research, teaching and patient care and for ensuring that the funds allocated for research and teaching are used exclusively for these core tasks of the Faculty of Medicine.
By establishing prospective planning, the availability of funds is to be guaranteed, also in order to be able to implement medium and long-term strategic measures and structural changes in research and teaching.
The Vice Dean's Office for Budget and Finance works closely with the Controlling department of the University Hospital on many issues.
The Vice Dean for Finance is also Chairman of the Finance and Budget Commission, which is a permanent commission of the Faculty of Medicine. The commission advises the Dean on the allocation of funds from the "Teaching and Research" investment fund.

The Dean's Office Special Funds team is responsible for supporting, managing and advising academic projects to improve the quality of university teaching and research, which are funded by various sponsors.

Project and budget monitoring
