The University of Cologne's publication fund for promoting open access publications will continue.

On January 1, 2026, the financing model for the University of Cologne's publication fund was adjusted to ensure sustainable financing of open access publications. The costs will be shared by the central administration/USB, the dean's offices, and the authors.
