Motor Health – Transatlantic Cooperation Strategies and Tech Transfer in Sensorimotor Neuroscience

Panel Discussion @NYU Langone Health | 540 1st Ave | NYC

Join us on October 16th at 6 PM at NYU Langone Health (540 1st Ave) in New York City for "Motor Health – Transatlantic Cooperation Strategies and Tech Transfer in Sensorimotor Neuroscience"!

The University of Cologne New York Office cordially invites you to join us for a panel discussion featuring experts in neurosciences, bioengineering, and biomechanics from Germany and the U.S. The event will highlight advances in sensorimotor research with a special focus on global health impact, technology transfer, and transatlantic funding opportunities. Join us on October 16th to find out:

  • How do the nervous system and the body function to generate movement and how can their dysfunctions lead to motor deficits?
  • What strategies are effective to enhance dialogue between academia and industry and to build new open-access technology to decode movement?
  • In which ways do collaborative efforts across national partners and transatlantic cooperations facilitate innovative technological developments and research projects?

Panelists and the attending transatlantic neuroscientists will have the opportunity to gain new partners, raise awareness for the topic in other stakeholders and the invited public, while also possibly identifying new funding sources. A networking reception following the panel discussion will facilitate further exchange of ideas and ideally spark new international cooperations.

The event is organized in cooperation with the German Center for Research and Innovation (DWIH) New York, the German Research Foundation (DFG), the German Consulate General New York, and NYU Langone Health.

When: Thursday, October 16th, 6-8 PM (EST)
Where: NYU Langone Health, 540 1st Ave, NYC
