Information Technology

The Core Facility IT is currently being set up. In the future, we would like to advise scientists, institutes and clinics in the Faculty of Medicine's field of activity on the diverse topics of information technology.

As an expert interface between the constantly growing demands of science and the possibilities of IT, we support research at the site. If required, we act as a central point of contact for the services of the university's IT service providers (IT Center University of Cologne (ITCC)) and the university hospital (uk-it).

Last but not least, we would like to establish a forum for ideas and solutions on selected topics and provide helpful contacts. You will soon find the complete scope of services in our terms of use.

Research Data Management

Research Data Management

The CF IT aims to support researchers in the setup and operation of FDM systems. To this end, researchers are assisted in communication and negotiations with the existing FDM offerings at the university (C3RDM) and the Medical Faculty (MeDIC). In addition, the CF IT is working on an FDM specifically designed for biological and medical data, particularly molecular data, that goes beyond the general FDM offerings.
