At the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Cologne, national and international scientists conduct research in over 70 different clinics, institutes and centers. They cover the entire spectrum from molecular medicine, cell culture and animal models to translational research and clinical application. Scientists are researching problems of great social relevance in three main areas: "Tumor Biology, Infection and Immunity", "Homeostatic Principles in Metabolism and Tissue Regeneration" and "Neuromodulation".
