The newly established Core Facility Neuro-MRI of the Medical Faculty offers state-of-the-art equipment and an experienced team for neurological and psychiatric imaging. The facility is equipped with a 3T MRT MAGNETOM Prisma from Siemens, including MR-compatible technology for recording physiological parameters and visual stimulus presentation. This allows for rapid and high-resolution anatomical and functional MRI of the brain, as well as diffusion-weighted MRI for nerve fiber reconstruction. The application makes it possible to analyze subtle changes such as plasticity after lesions or changes in deep (subcortical) brain structures with high precision.

The team at the CCF Neuro-MRI supports researchers in planning and conducting measurements. The platform is available to both internal and external scientists as well as industry partners.

For more information, please contact the head of the facility PD Dr. Markus Aswendt (markus.aswendtSpamProtectionuk-koeln.de) and visit our website: Central Core Facilities Neuro-MRI
