Application
Students at our partner universities must first consult the coordinator at their home university, as is required for 1- or 2-semester terms abroad. The coordinator also has to nominate you for a traineeship (PJ or Famulatur). We cannot consider applications made in any other way.
The application deadlines for traineeships (PJ and Famulatur) are the same as those for study visits (Semesteraufenthalte):
15th December for the next summer semester (April – September)
15th June for the next winter semester (October – March)
All nominated applicants (EU and non-EU) have to send the following documents by email to ZIB Med.
- Training Agreement EU or non-EU – signed / stamped by their home university
- Medical certificate
- current CV (in English or German)
- Proof of health insurance (e.g. EHIC card). Recommended: personal liability insurance
- current Transcript of Records
- Copy of your passport or identity card
- German language skills at the level of min. B2 (for the department of psychiatry C1), proven by one of the following official language certificates
- Goethe-Zertifikat
- TestDaF
- Deutsches Sprachdiplom der Kultusministerkonferenz
- telc
- Certificate from the official language centre of the home university
Please note that the language of instruction in all departments is German. Thus German language skills are especially important when communicating with patients.
We award 2 ECTS per week of clinical traineeship.
PJ: min. duration of 4 weeks in a department!
We can only proceed with the organisation of your placement when all your documents have completely reached ZIB Med.
