The Mentoring Team

Target group:

The mentoring program is aimed at doctoral students in human medicine and dentistry. They can join the mentoring program at any point during their doctorate.

Duration: If required, the program accompanies the mentees throughout the entire doctoral period.

Group size and division:

The doctoral candidates are supervised in small groups of 4-5 participants by an experienced mentor. Assignment to the mentoring group is based on the type of doctorate. A distinction is made between experimental doctorates, clinical/statistical doctorates and literature analysis/review. Care is also taken to ensure that mentors and mentees belong to different working groups in order to maintain independence. The mentees in a group may be at different stages of the doctorate in order to facilitate as much exchange as possible.

Meetings and content:

The content focus of the mentoring group is coordinated based on the needs of the doctoral candidates. There are at least two meetings per semester with the mentors. The mentors are also available as contact persons outside of the group meetings.
