Proposal Writing Workshop
27 January 2025, 9 am – 4 pm, large seminar room, CMMC
This workshop will concentrate on the process of writing a grant application in the natural sciences, with specific consideration for DFG proposals. Instruction about writing concisely will be coupled with detailed information about grant structure and the required content in each section. Additionally, creating a story, preparing convincing arguments and designing work packages will also be discussed. At the end of the workshop participants will:
- improve their writing structure and flow.
- have a detailed overview of the use of AI programs in proposal writing.
- understand how to structure a DFG proposal.
- learn to build an interesting story from their preliminary data.
- improve their argumentation skills for writing convincingly.
Participants should bring a 250-300 word abstract on their own work, or the work that they propose to do.
