Tutor meetings
In addition to the supervisor each IPHS doctoral candidate is mentored by two tutors, who are suggested by the IPHS Committee.
The supervisors of the doctoral candidates are asked to contact the suggested tutors and ask the tutors if they are willing to act as tutors.
These senior scientists accompany the PhD student during the time of the doctoral program, they help to develop and tailor an individual study program according to the pre-existing knowledge and the field of the student and the PhD student meets their tutors on a regular basis to present the progress of the doctoral project.
During their PhD IPHS doctoral candidates arrange at least three meetings with their IPHS tutors. They present the progress of the doctoral project and discuss it with the tutors. The meetings are documented on tutor meeting forms.
