Summer Schools and Webinars

Summer schools and summer academies abroad are an ideal opportunity to spend a short period in another country and find out more about a clearly defined subject.
By attending one of our summer schools in Cologne, students and young scientists from other countries can get to know this faculty and decide to do a course of advanced study, a doctorate or research visit.

Summer School on Translational Medicine 2025

Ort: Shanghai, Tongji University, School of Medicine 

Zeitraum: 23. August - 06. September 2025

Besonders interessant als Vorbereitung für Bewerbende, die später an der Tongji University einen Auslandsaufenthalt absolvieren möchten.

Die Summer School bietet eine Vielzahl an interessanten Themen, unter anderen aus den Bereichen der Onkologie, der Translationalen Medizin und der Stammzellforschung.  

Im Rahmenprogramm erwarten euch außerdem spannende Exkursionen rund um den Medizinischen Campus und im Zentrum von Shanghai (Baohua Temple, Bund, Yu Garden etc.), sowie Kurse in chinesischer Sprache, Kultur, Kaligraphie, Malerei und in Tai-Chi.

Anzahl der  Teilnehmer*innen: 10 Studierende der Medizinischen Fakultät der UzK

Hin- und Rückflug ca. 1100,-€ 
Unterkunft im Tongji Guest House ca. 75,-€/Nacht im Doppelzimmer

Förderungen der beteiligten Sponsoren:

Santander Bank: 375€ pro Studierenden für Mobilitätskosten
Medizinische Fakultät: 375€ pro Studierenden für Mobilitätskosten
Tongji Medical School: Unterkunftskosten im DZ im Tongji Guest House werden komplett übernommen

Information zu Visum: 38 Länder, darunter auch Deutschland, sind berechtigt für Chinas Politik der visafreien Einreise. Inhaber von Reisepässen aus diesen Ländern können ohne ein Visum einreisen und sich bis zu 30 Tage in China aufhalten.

Weitere Summer Schools in 2025

The University of Crete and the School of Medicine are excited to announce the upcoming Electromyography Summer School, taking place from June 10 to June 13, 2025.
As the application deadline (May 31st, 2025) approaches, we’d like to remind you that applications are still open for this unique hybrid program.
 

Dates: June 10–13, 2025

Format: Hybrid (in-person in Crete & via Zoom)

Info: This interactive course will explore Electromyography (EMG) across the age spectrum and its clinical applications in the diagnosis and treatment of Neuromuscular Disorders. Highlights include:

  • Hands-on workshops with international experts
  • Interactive daily quizzes and small-group teaching
  • Topics from EMG fundamentals to advanced techniques (e.g., single fiber EMG, neuromuscular ultrasound, autonomic studies)
  • Welcome dinner (June 10) & optional Spinalonga excursion (June 14)

Payment Information:

  • The cost for remote participation (via Zoom) is 400€
  • The cost for in-person participation in Crete is 600€
  • Payment is due by May 31st, 2025.
