More than 4,200 students at the Faculty of Medicine are trained in a practice-oriented manner in the environment of the University Hospital of Cologne in close cooperation with patient care, teaching and research. Scientists research problems of great social relevance in three focus areas and one cross-sectional area: “Tumor Biology, Infection and Immunity”, “Metabolism and Tissue Regeneration”, “Neuromodulation” and “Health - Person - Society.”
