RESTLESS

European Erasmus+ project for ‘empoweRing univErsity Students Through heaLth EntrepreneurShip trainingS’

It is not only unicorns that one should aim to build, in case of considering start-ups and entrepreneurship. In real-life business ecosystems, we need diversification and pluralism: we need donkeys and we need camels and we need zebras.

We need start-ups that will not give up easily and exhibit all the perseverance, determination and hard work, as donkeys do; we need zebras that can combine blacks and whites and possess enormous self-confidence; and we badly need camels that will be resilient to the difficulties of the times.

The Institute of Biomedical Informatics of the University Hospital Cologne participates in the European Erasmus+ project RESTLESS for ‘empoweRing univErsity Students Through heaLth EntrepreneurShip trainingS’. The project is led by the University of Silesia in Katowice, Poland and in the consortium participate the University of Beira Interior from Portugal.

The project aims to train and empower university students and graduates specializing in Medicine, Life Sciences, Engineering, Business, and ICT studies with entrepreneurial, digital, and green skills, and to promote the integration of entrepreneurship education into these fields of study, fostering a culture of innovation in healthcare for societal benefit. The consortium is complimented by the JOIST Innovation Park in Larissa, Greece and GrantXpert that is a high-performance SME from Cyprus.
