Employees of the University Hospital Cologne and the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Cologne have the opportunity to register their children for vacation care weeks during the Easter and autumn vacations.  With the "ZAK Zirkus- und Artistikzentrum Köln" ("Circus and Artistic Center Cologne") and the association "Querwaldein e. V." ("Crossforest"), educationally qualified institutions have been won for the implementation of the vacation care measure.

Easter holiday care in Beethovenpark: Forest week from 29.03. - 01.04.2021
For children from 6-12 years from 08:30 - 16:00

Would you like to spend the whole day outside during the vacations, get to know the animals and plants of the forest really well and experience adventures with other children? Then come with us to the city forest! Here we'll set up camp together and set off on a discovery tour. We sneak through the forest, discover animal tracks and learn to make ourselves invisible; we build forest huts and secret hiding places; we saw, file, craft and carve with natural materials; we test our dexterity by climbing and balancing; we play quiet and wild games.

In this nature experience educational vacation camp, the children are addressed with all their senses. They get to know the local nature in a playful way and experience real adventures in a safe environment. Guided phases and free play phases alternate so that the children are encouraged to try out something new, but at the same time have enough time to create their own activities.
