Procurement & Disposal Team
Who we are and what we do
The procurement/disposal/valuable materials conservation subteam aims to contribute to more sustainable procurement and disposal as well as to more sustainable handling of recyclable materials at Cologne University Hospital. We are happy to act as an interface between those responsible for purchasing and waste disposal on the one hand and the employees of the many individual clinics, institutes and work areas on the other.
We have made it our task to
- To promote transparency regarding purchased materials, waste production and recycling at Cologne University Hospital for all employees at all hierarchical levels. To this end, we are requesting and collecting the relevant data and will make it available here on our homepage.
- To provide a platform to collect and discuss suggestions for improving sustainability in the individual areas of the University Hospital Cologne and to approach the relevant responsible persons in the respective areas and to follow up on a possible implementation of the suggestions or, if possible, to provide support.
With a guided tour through the waste management at the University Hospital Cologne by Mr. Hans-Paul Hoffmann and Mr. Dirk Zuper, we were able to get a personal impression of the structures for waste disposal. Here we have summarized interesting facts about waste management and waste separation at the University Hospital Cologne. Here you can also find the contacts for questions and suggestions regarding waste disposal in your area.
